I'm Jen.
I write about the spaces between worlds—cultural, economic, linguistic—and how we make sense of displacement through story. Born in Columbus, Ohio, but raised largely in Cali, Colombia, my work explores the complexity of navigating between Colombian privilege and Appalachian poverty, across languages and landscapes, and through generations of family silence.
I'm currently working on Living Between Worlds, a collection of memoir pieces that map the unexpected connections between my two countries and their contrasting ways of being.
